Kässpätzle
Käsespätzle are a traditional south-german dish, but can also be found in the alps even south of Germany. They are small, flat, soft egg noodles layered with caramelized onions and grated cheese. The dish is popular for its cheese being well aged and very rich in its flavor. The layers are baked in the oven until the cheese is melted and forms a golden crust.
